Michael Quails and Chief Brandon

As the Police Chief of the Davison Police Department, let me welcome you to our web site.

Our department is responsible for law enforcement within the City of Davison. It is my strong personal belief that a police department should do more than just enforce laws and arrest criminals. They should do their very best at helping people. This is one reason that our agency has adopted a philosophy of community policing. We have placed an emphasis on forming partnerships with groups and individuals in an attempt to reduce the number of problems within our community.

One example is the trading card pictured above with Michael and myself. This 1999 cooperative effort with local merchants put literally thousands of police trading cards in the hands of local kids. Kids learned that officers are approachable, get to know them, and are here to help them. We will be running another card program this summer.

Being more accessible to the community through different patrol methods has proven effective. Bicycle patrol has been a very popular program since 1995 and will soon be joined by motorcycle patrol. Scout tours, participating in Pumpkin Fest, driver’s training and other school presentations have provided us the opportunity to get to know the people that we are responsible for protecting. Earning and maintaining the community’s trust is our #1 goal.

Please check out our site and let us know what you think. I would welcome your e-mail at bbrandon@cityofdavison.org Thank you.

DEPARTMENTAL

 STAFF

We are very fortunate in Davison to have a wealth of law enforcement experience. The average employee has 15 years in their chosen field. Our agency has a reputation throughout the area as being tough on crime but helpful to those in need. Several officers are or have been youth sports coaches, members of civic organizations and active in their community. Four officers are actually graduates of Davison High School. Can you name them and their year of graduation? Please E-mail your guess to cprice@cityofdavison.org

Information

There are many times when police officers need assistance. We can’t be everywhere. For example, at traffic crashes, people give eyewitness information that help determine who ran the light. This sort of information helps the police get to the truth.

This page is designed to allow members of the public offer information to help us do our job in dealing with those people who commit crimes or may have warrants out for their arrest. It is our hope that people leaving information will also leave their name, address, phone, etc… This is so we can confirm the information provided but it is not necessary. To leave information for us to follow up on or turn over to the proper authority, please e-mail your info to detective@cityofdavison.org
